Blueberry Martini Recipe

Made with fresh blueberries, vodka, lemon juice, and simple syrup, this recipe is full of refreshment and flavor!

Ingredients
  

  • ¼ cup blueberries (plus extra for garnish if desired)
  • ½ ounce simple syrup (see recipe notes)
  • 1 ½ ounces vodka
  • ½ ounce triple sec (preferably Cointreau)
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Add the blueberries and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Muddle the blueberries until all of their juices are released.
  • Then, add the vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, and ice. Shake until well chilled.
  • Strain into a martini glass and garnish with an extra blueberries if desired.

Notes

To make homemade simple syrup:
  • Combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar in a saucepan and bring to a simmer.
  • Whisk the sugar until full dissolved.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • Keeps in fridge for up to 3 weeks. 
For batch a batch of 8:
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • ½ cup simple syrup
  • 1 ½ cup vodka
  • ½ cup triple sec (preferably Cointreau)
  • ½ cup lemon juice
Muddle your blueberries in a large pitcher with a wooden spoon or puree them in a food processor or blender. Then add the rest of the ingredients to the pitcher.
If serving right away, pour each serving into a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into the martini glasses. 
If not serving right away, store the pitcher in the fridge for up to 1 day in advance. Give it a good stir before serving.
