Pomegranate Sour Cocktail Recipe

This pomegranate sour is made with pomegranate liqueur, whiskey, simple syrup, lemon juice, and egg whites. It's the perfect spin on the classic whiskey sour.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ ounces bourbon
  • ¾ ounces pomegranate liqueur see notes
  • ¾ ounces of simple syrup see notes
  • ¾ ounces lemon juice
  • 1 egg white

Instructions
 

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add bourbon, pomegranate liqueur/juice, simple syrup, lemon juice, and egg white.
  • Shake until the entire shaker is cold, about 20 seconds.
  • Strain the cocktail through a fine-mesh strainer into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with lemon and serve. 

Notes

Easy swaps:
  • If you can't find pomegranate liqueur, you can substitute pomegranate juice in the same amount.
  • If you don't want to make your own simple syrup, you can use agave nectar in the same amount.
