tonic water

Lemon twist for garnish

Instructions
Add the bourbon and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker.
Add ice and shake until well chilled.
Strain into a cocktail glass filled with ice.
Top with tonic water and garnish, if desired.
Notes
Tips:
Chill your glass in advance by popping it in the freezer for a few minutes.
Add some bitters for complexity.
Add more citrus flavors by adding a bit of triple sec to the glass.
For a sweeter drink, add some simple syrup or a splash of orange juice.
