Add the strawberries to an empty cocktail shaker and muddle until all of the berry juice is released.
Add the vodka, amaretto, lemon juice, and ice cubes. Shake until well chilled.
Strain into a coupe or martini glass and garnish with a strawberry on a cocktail pick if desired.
Notes
To serve 8:
16-24 strawberries (plus extra for garnish)
1 ½ cups whipped cream vodka
1 cup amaretto
¼ cup lemon juice
Muddle strawberries in a large pitcher with a wooden spoon or puree them in a blender. Add the remaining ingredients to the pitcher and stir. Chill the mixture in the fridge for up to 1 day in advance; if you don’t have time to chill, shake individual servings with ice and strain into glasses. Stir well before serving to ensure the ingredients are evenly dispersed.Expert tips:
Want a sweeter cocktail? Add a bit of simple syrup (like my elderflower syrup) or a bit of strawberry jam along with the other ingredients in the shaker.
If it’s too sweet, add extra lemon juice to balance.
