Ingredients

  • Tajin or salt for rim (optional)
  • 1 ½ ounces tequila (blanco or silver)
  • 1 ounce Midori
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • Lime slice for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Moisten the rim of the margarita glass with a lime wedge and roll in the tajin or salt, if desired.
  • Add the tequila, Midori, and lime juice to an empty cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice and shake until well chilled.
  • Strain into the glass and garnish with a lime slice, if desired.

Notes

For a batch of 8 Midori Margaritas:
  • 1 ½ cups tequila
  • 1 cup Midori
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • Tajin for rims and lime slices for garnish, optional
Instructions/tips for making a batch:
  • Mix the ingredients in a large pitcher: Combine the tequila, Midori, and lime juice in a large pitcher and stir well to combine. Allow guests to roll their glass rims in lime juice and tajin (or salt) before pouring.
  • For best taste, make your Midori Margarita pitcher only up to 1 day in advance and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Keep in mind that the ice will dilute the drink over time, so opt to chill the fridge in advance and/or serve on the rocks. If you’re serving the margaritas outside, you can nestle the pitcher in a large bucket of ice to keep cool without dilution.
