Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounce blanco tequila (or silver)
  • 1 ounce blue curaçao
  • ½ ounce lime juice fresh, if possible
  • 1 ounce pineapple juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons edible green glitter gel icing optional
  • Black salt for rim optional
  • Lime wheel (fresh or dried) optional

Instructions

  • Add tequila, curaçao, lime juice, pineapple juice, and glitter icing (if using) in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled.
  • Wet the rim of the cocktail glass and roll in the black salt, if using.
  • Add ice to glass and strain the cocktail shaker into the glass.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel and a black and/or white striped straw, if using.

Notes

For big batch of 8 cocktails:
  • 1 ½ cups blanco tequila
  • 1 cup blue curaçao
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 2-5 tablespoons edible green glitter gel icing, optional
  • Black salt (or sugar) for rims, optional
  • 8 lime wheels (dried or fresh) for garnish, optional
  • Black and white straws for decoration, optional
Instructions for Batch
  1. Add the tequila, blue curaçao, lime juice, pineapple juice, and green glitter gel icing (if using) to a large pitcher that can hold at least 32 ounces (or ¼ gallon) easily.
  2. Stir until well mixed. If you are using the glitter gel icing, it may clump and require more stirring. Tip: warm the icing in a microwave safe bowl for 5 seconds or until just warmed at 5 second intervals- be careful not to scorch the icing. This will help the icing dissolve in the liquid more easily.
  3. Chill the pitcher of margaritas until ready to use. Prior to serving, you may need to stir to make sure no glitter has settled at the bottom.
  4. Have your guests add the margaritas to ice filled cocktail glasses. Tip: Adding ice to pitcher may result in diluted margarita so have the guests add the margarita to glasses filled with ice to prevent dilution.
