White Lady Cocktail  (with Cointreau)

agratefulmeal.com

This prohibition-era White Lady Cocktail is made with gin, cointreau, simple syrup, lemon juice, and an egg white.

Ingredients needed:

Step 1:  Add the gin, Cointreau, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a cocktail shaker.

Step 2: Shake well, then add ice, and shake well again until well chilled.

Step 3: Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

Raw egg whites are generally pretty safe in cocktails.  For extra precaution, you can buy pasteurized egg whites in a carton.

If that still doesn't interest you or you want a vegan option, you can substitute 2-3 tablespoons of the liquid from canned chickpeas.
