Homemade Fresh Cranberry Sauce

This cranberry sauce recipe makes a sweet and tart cranberry sauce that everyone will love. Cinnamon and oranges add extra flavor and a festive spirit. It can be made ahead and refrigerated or frozen for later.

1-Orange zest 2-Orange juice 3-Brown sugar 4-Cinnamon stick 5-Fresh cranberries

How long can  cranberry sauce last in the fridge? It can last for 10-14 days in the refrigerator, so it's perfect to make ahead of time. 

Can you freeze cranberry sauce? Yes! It tastes best if used within a few months. To thaw, pull it out of the freezer and thaw in the fridge for about 2-3 days before the day you plan to use it.

Dissolve the sugar in the juice. Heat orange zest, juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon stick over in a saucepan until sugar dissolves.

Add and simmer the cranberries Add in cranberries and simmer for about 15 minutes or until most of the cranberries have popped and sauce is thickened.

Cool and serve or store for later. Keep in the fridge for up to 14 days.
