Benefits of  Overnight Oats

Overnight oats require no cooking or heating. The liquid is soaked up in the oats overnight, doing the work to soften the oats that cooking them would normally do.

Using kefir for liquid

Kefir is a probiotic (healthy bacteria) drink that is essentially fermented milk. Kefir typically contains a lot more probiotics than yogurt.

Why combine kefir + oats

This recipe combines probiotic (kefir's healthy bacteria) with prebiotic foods (oatmeal's fiber). This combo can help keep digestive systems regular and functioning well.

Ingredients: – Kefir in flavor of choice – Old-fashioned rolled oats – Vanilla extract – Honey (optional) – Toppings of choice like fruit, coconut, chocolate chips, nuts, and/or nut butters



Mix together all of the ingredients except for the toppings in a bowl or jar.

Refrigerate overnight


Or at least for a few hours, then serve chilled. If you prefer warm oatmeal, you can heat in the microwave to desired temperature.

Top with favorite toppings such as... -Fruit -Shredded coconut -Chocolate chips -Seeds -Nuts -Nut butters
